Women’s inferiority to men

I am amazed and inspired by the life and achievements of Kathryn Kuhlman, one of the most prominent healing evangelists of the twentieth century.

Yet I believe that she did more to reinforce the sense of women’s inferiority to men than she probably intended to!

For instance, in the book ‘Daughters of the Church’ by Tucker and Liefeld, Kathryn Kuhlman was quoted as saying, “I’d give anything if I could have just been a good housewife and a good cook. And I’d like to have had a big family. It would have been nice to have a man boss me around.”

She severally expressed her firm belief that God commissioned her to preach only because His first choice, a man, did not answer the call.

Whatever her motives in expressing these sentiments were, my personal opinion is that they subtly suggest and imply that somehow, God prefers male leadership to that of the female - a concept that is as false as it is ancient.

What do you think?

This is very inspiring. Thank You

My personal opinion is that she didn’t realize what a God given marital relationship was. I am sure that she could have had a huge ‘family’ if she was open minded enough.

God wanted deciples to be off all kinds. Not just a man. We are all His if we so choose to. Maybe Kathryn just wanted to have some of the responsiblilities taken off of her sholders so that she wasn’t ‘where the buck stops’. LOL There is not just biological people out there that are family. There are plenty that are hungry for food to eat and food for thought. If women would use the freedom of their gifts and not be slave to sin then she would know what power that there was! Husbands are to treat their wives like Jesus treats the church. With love and affection. Not to boss around. But also Katheryn may have felt that void where God was waiting for her to look outside of herself.

This is Just my opinion. LOL
